Capacity: 30 kg steel or iron
Electrodes: 2 Nos of adjustable graphite electrodes
Arcing : Submerged arcing, direct arcing and indirect arcing is possible
Working temperature of melt: up to 1750oC
Measurement : Power consumption in kWh, voltage, rating, power factor etc at the control panel
Other features: Removable top cover with replaceable and tilting type shell. Shell is lined with magnesite refractory. Top cover is facilitated with a hole for collecting sample, viewing, adding additives and temperature measurement.
Use: Experimental works viz. melting of steel and iron for casting, alloy steel making, smelting of minerals, making of ferro-alloys etc

NML is also having 175kVA and 500kVA EAF with conventional features for melting of of high carbon ferro - alloys of different grades namely Fe–Cr, Fe–Mn, Si–Mn, Fe–Si, Ca–Si, etc possible.
