Laser Flash Thermal Diffusivity Instrument is used to determine the thermal diffusivity by the flash method (ASTM E-1461) and thereby specific heat and thermal conductivity.

Determination of Thermal Diffusivity, Specific Heat and Thermal Conductivity of solids from room temperature to 1500C in inert atmosphere.
Sample type: 
Disc samples of 12.65mm diameter with both surfaces optically flat. Thickness of the sample needs to be optimized depending on the thermal conductivity.
