Applied & Analytical Chemistry National Metallurgical Laboratory, CSIR, Jamshedpur has developed a three container domestic water purification unit specifically designed to address iron and arsenic contamination in water. The top container is the reactor in which contaminated water is treated with chemicals and the impurities are precipitated out which quickly settle at the bottom of the top container.
