Applied & Analytical Chemistry Anions present in water are as important as cations as they occur as conjugates. Like cations, anions also influence the nutrient or toxicity status of drinking water. Water Research Laboratory at NML, Jamshedpur is housing a Metrohm 882 compact ion chromatograph that can analyse both cations and anions present in drinking water at ppb-ppm level. It can also carry out speciation analysis for some elements such as arsenic, selenium etc. NML invites proposals from industries, research organizations and academic institutions for using this facility for testing and research purpose.
