BMG alloys

Arc melting furnace with casting facility

Area Linked to:
Materials Processing
Research Area:
Alloy Development
If Other area:
Advanced materials / Nanocomposites

The system is used for the development of multi-component alloys combining high melting point (>2500C) and low melting point (<300C) elements under an inert atmosphere. Subsequently, the developed alloys can be Cu mold cast in the form of rods (range : 2- 10 mm diameter). This instrument is the most suitable for Bulk Metallic Glassy (BMG) alloys development.
