ATOMIC ABSORPTION SPECTROMETER

Area Linked to:
Applied & Analytical Chemistry

Presence and/or absence of metal ions is crucially important for ascertaining the nutrient or toxicity status of drinking water. Water Research Laboratory at NML, Jamshedpur is housing a Varian AA 240 Atomic Absorption Spectrometer coupled with a VGA 77 hydride generator unit for the determination of metal ions including heavy metals, hydride forming metalloids and mercury in drinking water. This facility is being used for testing as well as research programmes. NML invites proposals from industries, research organizations and academic institutions for using this facility.
